Summary of this entire search: It was Lincoln Riley all along. Woodward and the TAF thought it was a done deal. Riley would be named head coach on Monday. Last night Riley shocked and stiffed Woodward and backed out. There is no backup candidate, but I'll take the job if offered.

Last 2 coaches apparently went ape shit cray cray for the ‘nanni. And certain circles still say Nicky was tapping former Guv EWE’s young wife Candy. Ms Terri TOLD him ‘we going to Miami.’
I guess time will tell who the next coach will be and after the fact, we might even know who was offered the job, who was not offered the job and who turned the job down. But you can't lose a job you were never offered. I'm not sure half of these "candidates" for the job were ever contacted by LSU?. Media mentions have made a lot of these guys really rich, like Mel Tucker. Every time one of these coaches says not "I'm not coaching at lsu next year" or gets an extension, our fans have the opinion we are losing options for the new head coach and having to go to the next man up and not getting our first choice. Will any one believe Woodward, for example, if he hired James Franklin or Matt Campbell and says, "that was our guy all along and the only one we contacted. We got our guy (first choice), or would we all say LSU got less than what we expected? IDK what Woodward is going to do or even know if he'll make a good hire? It's fun to speculate with the big names out there but we might be left saying, "well, I didn't see that coming."
