1. Sloppy game. 8 TO's with 6 left in the 2nd...

With all the discussion on different fan bases and their actions I'll admit I was a little shocked seeing some of the things I've seen tonight.

A boy, maybe 10-12 years old, holding a sign up saying, "How does that dirt taste?" A lady in her forties, at least, holding another one saying, "Beat those Mountaineers and their fans?"

It's a young team that USF is fielding with a lot of intensity, no doubt. But, I'm eerily reminded of what I saw arise in Miami in the early 90's on both the players parts and with the fan base. I haven't seen anything on the field that was "borderline," but it certainly seems possible based on what I've seen so far.

    Just a feelin'...
  2. I saw the signs too and really didn't read too much into it. Just fans who are new to the experience. They may indeed be the new Thug U, but I haven't seen anything to indicate it yet. :thumb:
  3. South Florida 21 - West Virginia 6 with 5:54 left in the 3rd quarter. Nobody really wants to be the 5th ranked team in the country this year.
  4. The progress of their Football program (timewise) is impressive.
  5. They're both using punt ugly.

    It's an epidemic!
  6. I always wondered why they weren't more active in football. I may be mistaken but I thought USF had the highest enrollment total in the state of Florida...even ahead of Miami, FSU, and Florida.
  7. The meteoric rise of USF should cause alot of teams, including LSU (who get their share of Florida recruits), some headaches.
  8. South Florida 21 - West Virginia 13 with 2:51 left in the 4th quarter. WVU is about to get the ball with good field position and two TOs.
  9. 56 yard punt and great coverage! WVU further back than expected.
  10. Its not really that big of surprise that they have improved so quickly. They are one of the smaller schools in Florida that really care about their program. They are in arguebally the best location to get talent. A lot of the guys they recruit are only 2 or 3 stars, but incredible athletes and only need some good coaching to be great players. If all the Florida schools cared about their program as much as USF then they would all be pretty good because they are surrounded by talent.
