I was just thinking, and this point may have been made, but the BCS must hate LSU. We screwed everything up by beating Tennessee in 2001, and that allowed for the undeserving Nebraska team to get in to the championship. This year we are again part of the big contraversy. What gives?
It is what it is. There was another thread earlier that summed it up pretty well. The BCS sums up an average of human (read as emotional) polls, computer polls, SOS, losses, and quality wins. Its not perfect but its what was agreed to. The BCS did just what it was designed to do...reduce the impact of the emotion involved in the human polls. There is no controversy, only what we have. Some like it, some don't.
Well this year it was KSU that put it into turmoil. They were th eheavy underdog that stirred the pot.
You can't blame us this year but its us against the world USC shouldn't be #1 in the first place, they didn't play in the sec and they didn't beat a top 10 team twice in the same year. They also didn't win a conference championship game. The human polls put them there over us and I won't ever understand why. US AGAINST THE WORLD ITS NOT OUR FAULT Everyone is now trying to put the blame on us, I hear it on the radio, from usc director. I heard a guy on a sports radio show say it should've been OU and USC not LSU. What do you expect in big 12 country I guess. I enjoy the bowl season but this one is turning into a nightmare of sorts for me, my dream has come true but this isn't exactly how I hoped for. Its horrible How can I enjoy watching other bowls when this kind of stuff is going to happen for the rest of the year?
