    Expectations

Just shows you how dumb sportswriters are and how gullible fans are when they read what they want to hear.

    WHAT???

They were quoting the coaches and players. How is believing quotes from the "horse's mouths" being gullible?

BTW, what's happened with Brandon Jacobs?

    Has he played ANY?

I think you are right Proud tiger. I still look for Auburn to be competitive in the SEC. Auburn has stunk it up in the first two games though.

The article was originally posted with the headline "Auburn Sucks" but it was changed to War Chicken.

I didn't see anything in the article that was false. Before the season, several sports media outlets had Auburn either ranked extremely high or had them as their national champion pick. Auburn went on to lose two games, scoring a total of 3 pts. What Auburn has right now is a good team of talent, playing very poorly. It happens all the time in college football, it just usually isn't this drastic.

As far as Jacobs, I played against him in high school. I was a 5'4 150 lb linebacker. The year he ran for 3000 yards we held him to 30. I solo tackled him several times. He really wasn't that good.
