on purpose or not I have never in my life seen a team get so many plays called against them. Not just the Pass interf. in the 4th, but the catch in the 1st Qt. that was then over ruled. on Aub. TD drive there was some very obivious holding going on (even tackling our D linemen) Our int. called back cause of a crappy interf. 2 late hits on our players out of bounds. I know nothing can be done about it.... but some ref should be raped in his sleep tonight! With all that said, why was the ball not thrown into endzone! I like JR, but he still has a long way to go. Geaux Tigers.
Here were a few other blown calls: 1) Late in the first half, the non interference call when we through into the endzone. This would have set us up with 1st and 10 on the 15 yard line. We still got the field goal on this series. 2) The pass interference on us when we intercepted. What about the catch before the interference. Just like the tip before the interference. The calls did not equal out. 3) The holding on our right tackle (D dude from Canada). On the replay there was no holding. It brought back a 21 yard game and we had to punt. 4) The other obvious ones have been mentioned. Of course, we still should have won if the coaching had been there.
Play calling questionable for sure but I thought Miles and Fisher's rim blocking was pretty effective. I saw a lot of holes and not much penetration. There are several reasons we lost the game, let's not hang it all on the coaches. We lost by 4 points to a National Contender, in their stadium, and it's only the 3rd week in the season in which we had big voids to fill with the loss of veteran players.
oh yeah i had forgotten about the phanton hold call on dyakowski. but that is kinda minor screwup i expect now and again and i dont complain. throw in the other miserable calls and its too many though.
Hahahah... or at least fired from ever coaching football PREIOD. High school football probably doesn't get the prejudice officiating that we got tonight.
I have. One of my teammates picked up a chair and threw it on the court ala Bob Knight during one of our games. Now i'm showing my age! Hey, maybe Les should've thrown a chair on the field! :nope:
Wow. To tell you how bad it was, the first thing my husband said to me when I finally looked like he could say something without me going ballistic was "LSU got screwed." That, from a greenie! How bad is that?!?
