Ok...these writers that have written enough stories about OU being the best team this year to wipe out an entire forest of pine trees are now going to vote USC #1. If you take the entire season in perspective, LSU should be their #1, too. What will keep USC at #1 in their little poll is the fact that the writers hate the BCS. That's the simple and succint answer to the question of why they won't vote LSU #1. They certainly don't have a leg to stand on if they say LSU doesn't deserve it. They'll contradict their endless stories about the greatness of OU earlier (read: pre-BCS controversy). So, in essence, the writers are voting to call themselves lying hacks. Go ahead AP writers...prove you're unnecessary. Prove to us that the drivel you write in your little columns or websites is stuff that even YOU don't believe. Go on...we've all waited years to hear you say it.
LOL who cares about he AP. You're exactly right. Guys the right attitude to take on this is to shrug and smile. The AP and those who are in love in it don't quite get that the days of the after bowl beauty contest are over. Take that attitude and you can never go wrong.
