Michigan STILL #2 after losing - the AP just makes their own rules and says screw you to common sense/logic regarding when a team loses a game. College football is a fixed sport - there is my 2 cents.

By the way, LSU stayed at #9, with Louisville jumping us to #8. Go figure....you win for losing and lose for winning

I guess when you play crappy against a crappy team, it has that effect. However, I would've liked to see that it being a rivalry game would have played a factor in the voting.

Besides, Louisville was beat by Rutgers who was beat by lowly Cincy. They aren't that good... :dis:

It does not surprise me in the least that Michigan did not drop. I didn't think they would after the way they played against Ohio St. From here on out, they need Notre Dame to beat USC and it looks like we'll see a rematch in the National Championship game.

Yeah...they lost to the only team better than them by 3 points.

Isn't that common sense? No one else is really good enough to have that number 2 spot.

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. I saw a Michigan team with horrible safety play and a porous defense.

So was OSU with 39 points against them...as was Florida, Arkansas, Rutgers, West Virginia, USC, etc. in many games this year.

how do you know OSU is the only team better then Michigan. I personally think several teams could beat Michigan - USC, Arkansas, Texas, and LSU would give them a great game. Here lies the problem - no playoff equals no opportunity to see exactly who is the true "best team". Michigan will likely not play any of the teams I listed above except in a bowl game.......and let's be honest, it is not like the Big 10 is stacked this year from top to bottom.

bottom line is, you lose you should drop in a poll - Michigan's defense looked very poor against OSU, giving 320 in the first half! They were lucky that game was even remotely close.

Well hell, why don't we just call Saturday's game the NC and be done with this year.

Well if USC had been planted firmly in the #2 spot, then you're looking at another possible split championship. So not sure many posters on here would be happy about seeing that situation.

Be happy the AP appears to be awarding the Big 10 an NC this season.
