My bad. The title of your thread didnt really allude to the subject matter and no one was responding in it. I thought it was a good topic. Whats it matter who starts a thread....the good convo is all that matters :thumb:
Several people have said that Russell has problems. Doesn't watch film, not going full speed. Then there is the reported problem in Orlando with curfew. Russell has talent and plenty of potintial. If there is any truth to these rumurs I hope they get it worked out. I still believe that Russell is our future at QB. I just don't want another Cecil Collins type that has everything but brains.
Sorry, my first really good thread and I thought it would really go over well. You know like a little kid in a candy store. sorry again, conradj
Right. I hadn't read that yet on this site about Russell so I wasn't sure if anyone knew that type of stuff about him. Good to hear others have....in the SEC, he will be eaten alive unless he steps it up another notch
Concerning Russell, lets just hope that it is immaturity and that he'll grow out of it. I think he kinda got the big head at some point this season and started thinking to highly of himself. The guy could be the next Michial Vick if he applies himself. Does anyone, that was at the last SEC championship game, remember Russell grabbing the LSU flag and sprinting up and down the field. The guy did not play a snap all year and you would have thought that he had thrown the winning pass. I said that night that he would be something special. I hope he lives up to it. I played ball with Jermaine Sharp up here and watched him flush his future down the drain at LSU. I hate seeing someone waste that kind of talent.
I am interested to see how our defensive players adapt to whoever is running our defense. If our DC is newish to our school....he may be amazed at our speed
Any DC we get will be newish to our school unless its Will Mushchamp, which doesn't look likely. I don't think our defensive players will have trouble adjusting to a new DC or defensive schemes. Saban/Mushchamp's defenses were very complicated and required lots of practice. Most likely, a new DC wouldn't have anything any more complicated and would be something our players could adjust to fairly easily.
Having seen press conferences from our new coach, do you think ANY player wouldn't exercise proper judgment and just do whatever the hell he tells you to!? You'd be crazy not to! I wouldn't want to end up on the wrong end of that raging psycho! LET ER RIP! Having said that...9-2.
