To all of the Coaches, players and game-attending fans of the LSU Tiger football nation: THANK YOU FOR THE BEST REGULAR SEASON SINCE 1958. I couldn't be more proud of us than I am right now. :geaux: :lsug:
Eleven wins. LSU has only had eleven wins once before, during the 1958 undefeated national championship season. This is the second best Tiger team of all time. I never got to see the 1958 team but I'm enjoying the hell out of this one.
Hear! Hear! This season has gone above and beyond my (and I'm sure almost everyone's) expectations. Has a fan I must say THANK YOU to ALL involved in this football programs. Thanks and keep it going!
HERE! HERE!!! The atmosphere at the game today was great! Definately made the flight down from Boston well worth it!!!
Glad you could make it. I was worried when I read your post saying the only other game you attended was the Florida game. Another CBS afternoon game in Tiger Stadium. I was afraid you might bring the Curse of the Bambino with you.
No, no....I didn't make the Florida game. The only games I made this year was, obviously, today's game and the Auburn game. I said that the day OF every game, I play my "Hey Fighting Tiger" CD and listen to the fight song and "pregame" and every time I've played it the morning of each game, the Tigers have won! But since Saturday, October 11th was the day that I flew in from Boston (stayed down here for 2 weeks), I DIDN'T get a chance to play my CD.....and, as we know, the Tigers lost. I've played my CD every gameday morning since--Including today!! "bring the Curse of the Bambino"???!?!?! HECK NO! LSU is 2-0 in games I attend this season!!!
Pardon a correction ... But it has been announced that our "REGULAR SEASON" now will be extended annually for an additional game ... as we will be a "FIXTURE" in the SEC Championship game for many years to come ... something along the lines of a "Spurrieresque" SEC Western presence
