Well the Thing I think most LSU fans are missing is Jimbo fishers Current Contract. 5.25 Mil BASE 1.475 Mil in incentives (close to highest in NCAA) Even with his 8-4/9-3 year this year at FSU he will make $5.75+ Million Maybe even closer to 6 Mil I'm not sure the exact payouts per but i'd assume there is something like 25% bowl based 15% GPA based 20% ACC title 20% playoffs 20% National title. So even at that he would get 40% of that 1.475 Mil Making his Salary for 2016 close to $5.9 Million... So tell me again why he would leave a school with a easier path to the national title and a higher top end on pay for less than what he could make at FSU with lower expectations? Fisher's bonuses include $100K for winning (ties included) the Atlantic Division, $100K for an ACC Championship, $100K for a CFB Playoff berth, $200K for reaching the National Championship Game, $200K for winning the National Championship, $100K if FSU plays in a non-playoff access bowl game, $50K for a bowl game not part of the CFB system, $200K for top-5 poll finish, $100K for a top-ten poll finish, $200K for an undefeated season, $75K for the AP National Coach of the Year, $50K for the ACC Coach of the Year, and $250K for other established university goals (see attached). those "university goals" are mostly GPA/APR/ect based.. So This year assuming the 5.25 Mil base from the AP (the contract says 4.9 But gaining 100k a year So assuming 5.25 average over the 10 years) But assuming the 5.25+.25 academic+100k non access bowl game+100k for top 10 Poll finish (if winning that bowl) He would make 5.7 Million this year if they win out. 5.6 Mil if they lose. And on top of all they he has a 5 Million dollar buyout. So for him to leave he honestly needs atleast a 1 Million raise to even break even.
