if i post a sign that says "mr jones the geography teacher is a fat dummy", is that a hate crime? it was clearly meant to offend. i guess what you are saying is that black people are emotional weaklings and need protection from meanies and their words? man, that is racist.
sorry for so many consecutive posts on the subject but i find the psychology very interesting. from the jena newpaper that i previously linked---"it should be noted that no law enforcement agency, including the FBI, has determined the noose incident to be racially motivated" WHAT? were they planning on dressing a deer or just reenacting their favorite spaghetti western?
from same article that it is against a state law to bring cell phones to school. wow, seems harsh. didnt know.
LOL, Yes that too is a hate crime. And i'm guessing if you did that you would be both punished and sued.
good question. i would say no. unless the rioters are robots or children, only the rioters are to blame. all of which are acceptable until you get violent. battle of ideas are fine until somebody gets violent. if you are offended, offend the other guy back, you are justified. you are not justified to get physical.
It is not against the law to make someone feel bad, hated, or insulted. And it shouldn't be. In my first or second post I mention inciting a riot. If this had caused a public riot, that would be a crime. But it didn't. It pissed off the black community & cause one white boy to get beaten up. Personally, I think the black kids should've kicked more white boys' ass, but it should have been in fair fights outside of school - not 6 on 1 gang behavior. They still would've gotten in trouble (as they are still breaking the law) but it would've been a much smaller deal.
black people are scary. they have this primal rage thing going on. you cant go hanging nooses around or you will set them off and they will go off like a house afire.
Hate crimes can only occur against certain groups, and to my knowledge fat people are not yet one of them. You could be sued & punished by the school, but not arrested or charged with a crime.
These people trying to do the right thing for the black community... All they have done is hold them back & keep them from being successful. So long as we look at it as them needing our help, they'll never accomplish anything as a group.
