Hey, Benson's getting 100% of the vote. :thumb:

Honestly, I think White or Leinart should win it...edge to White because of tougher competition.

And I also think Benson should be 3rd and it will be a joke if he doesn't get to go to NYC.

I tried to be as comprehensive as possible with the options. Really not certain who I'd vote for. I lean towards White, Campbell, or Peterson though.

I gave my vote to Benson...look at the kids stats and tell me how anyone can have Peterson above Cedric. This isn't based on potential or glamour or whatever...its based on what the player did THIS season. Reggie Bush did not get near the touches to be considered in my opinion. Jason White has just as good of numbers as Leinart and faced better competition. Alex Smith would be my #2 because the kid is putting up unreal numbers with great efficiency and yes I know he's in the MWC, but he cannot help that. Stefan Lefors while having a great season still had to share some time with Brian Brohm and while Jason Campbell has led his team to a great season he's putting up good, but nowhere near Heisman numbers.

I think Benson is the true Heisman winner. He means the most to his team. If OU lost White, they still have Peterson (and vice versa).

    Leinhart has Bush.

I hate the Trojans as much as the next guy, but I voted Reggie Bush. No way SC is in the spot they are in without him.

Who should win the Heisman? Antrel Rolle. I've never seen anything that says it has to be a QB or RB.

You are missing J.J. Arrington.. averaging more than a yard more than peterson, has more yards total, and only one less touchdowns, but alot more recieving yards..

Atrel Rolle plays defense for a three loss team Spring. Hard to realistically give him any consideration knowing how win/loss record means so much to people.

Good call on J.J. Arrington, locoguano.

The question was who should win the Heisman, not who will likely win it. I was trying to make a point, 99. I could not care less who wins the Heisman, because it may as well be called the "Hypeman." If the DT Athletic Club, or whomever presents it would describe it as what it is - the award to the offensive skill player, generally QB or RB, who piles up the most impressive statistics on a really, really, good team - then I may feel differently. I also have never seen anything in the Heisman voting criteria that states that a player must be on a team with fewer than three losses in order to receive consideration...
