you asked me early in the season what would have to happen for Auburn people to want CTT gone . .I think I responded somethign to the degree that no matter what happens, I wouldn't want him gone, but no matter what happens, I do want Hugh Nall and Steve Emsfinger gone . . I have changed my mind . . I want them all gone. . not sure if anyone at halftime caught CTT's quote about not being able to run on first down . .he basically said that 2 yards rushing on 1st down wouldn't cut it so we'd have to open it up . .I thought it was bizarre, b/c I didn't think we were running the ball a ton on 1st down . .so I checked the play-by-play . sure enough we had only rushed on 1st down once, and got 5 yards . .we rushed 4 times in the 1st half . . I always knew that the Nallsminger was an inferior gameplanner, and an inferior gameday coach - what I didn't realize was how little of a clue CTT had of what was going on during the game. We rushed 4 times in the 1st half . .horrible. For me to be satisfied with changes, the only coaches I want to see around next year are our DC and DL coach . .maybe Eddie Gran, the RB coach . .CTT, Nall, Emsfiner, Knox, Lolley, etc . .all need to move on . . . sorry . .realize this is a LSU board . .just wanted to follow up on a question asked me a while back . . nice job so far against bama . .good luck in the 2nd half . .
Steve Ensminger is not the cause of your problems. That shittstain on the toilet seat of life Lord Thomas Tuberville is the cause of most AU problems along with Recruiting. Auburn is stuck geographically in a terrible area surrounded on all sides by Cutthroat competition. You guys just cannot hang with the big dawgs, proved it again today. GA gets theirs, gets yours and your neighbor's too. Get used to the scraps. When Tubby is gone, you'll get scraps again for about 5 years. There is no quick fix for AU. A great program takes: 1. A great coach------------------------->Saban His assistant changes are more than numerous and make LSU look like a revolving door. They compliment the man and the program and work together ... chemistry ... leadership. 2. A great plan--------------------------->Saban actually "interviews" coaches who do recruiting pitches for LSU. He sits there in his office and has the recruiter do "dry runs" on recruiting visits. Can you imagine that. The dedication and attention to detail. Other planning details a vast "PROGRAM" for all incoming recruits with strict attention to THEIR SUCCESS in the classroom and SOCIAL success/adjustment to college atmosphere. Nothing is left to chance, meticulous planning is a 24-7 job. 3. Dedication ... year round with "FEEDBACK MECHANISMS" in place reporting on all fronts. 4. 200% support from the Athletic Department. 5. Absolute and pure integrity---------------->The team comes first before any individual, favorites are never played. 6. Goals have been set---------------------->and are being achieved Tubby has little integrity ... we really enjoyed that "smoker" he held on our 50-yard line. This type of leadership is a joke and is self-defeating. Your team rotted from within this year. It will continue to do so, even with Ensminger and others gone. Time to cut the head off the snake.
I want Allbarn to keep Wingnut. He will not be a coach that can compete w/LSU from now on with Saban here. He also lied to Barners when he said he did not want the LSU job when Saban was hired. He was in La. lobbying for it when Saban was hired. Said he was duck hunting (in B.R.?).
Thanks Chuck, I am sure this has been a very dissapointing season... With the Talent Auburn has 6-5 well... Auburn has played some tough teams this year. BUt the Ga Tech loss I think was the nail for him. I can see the loss to USC, and possibly LSU.. Ole Miss that was just bad luck. UGA... Bad coaching. I dont know, I still dont think he will be fired. Because of the huge buyout clause. However the golder question is the rich boosters. If they want him gone, he will be gone. I think he does the Assistant fire thing and he get another year... Assuming he wins the Iron Bowl. If he loses the Iron Bowl I assume you guys wont let him even pack his stuff. ANyway as I said I have no beef with Auburn and their fans, so I wont bash...
The thing I couldn't understand was that Tubby seems determined to use the pass to set up the run. Auburn's strength is it's running game. I don't know enough about your personnel to judge the offensive line but I do know enough to know that Campbell sucks with a capital S and if Auburn is going to have success it's going to be with Cadillac, Brown, etal. Early in the game Tubby should be trying to establish the team's strength but he's just too stubborn to see that. Then, the opponent gets up by a couple of scores and it's too late. Believe it or not, I feel for you guys.
our offensive playcalling has been suck a joke itds disgusting . . we ran the ball 4 times in the 1st half against UGA . . 4 times . . that's pathetic. and our OL completely regressed from last year. By the end of the season, we were running on everyone we played . .even in our loss to UGA, and that included some very strong rushing D's in LSU, bama and Penn State. Personally, I think CTT is done, I expect him to resign for medical reasons at the end of the season (neck surgery) so he can leave on amicable terms with Auburn. As pissed off as I am now, he will leave the program in MUCH better shape then he found it. . our DC - Gene Chizik will be the HC at UCF, most or all of our offensive staff will be gone, our secondary coach will be gone, and CTT will be gone . .recruiting will take a big hit . .but from a coaching standpoint, its time to start over. Nice game against bama . Michael Clayton clinched my SEC Fantasy Football league title for me . .good luck this weekend against the Rebels . .
The rumor I am hearing is that Tubby is history and that the powers that be at Auburn (Bobby Lowder) have decided to hire Petrino as the new HC.
Ditto DJ.. I posted that a few days ago as well.. I view Tubbs as a CEO that thinks he can just run a program from 10,000 ft. I watch him on the sidelines and he never is involved. How can a coach let 2 first year guys in their position have so much rope? I agree Chuck, he leaves it in much better shape physically than before he got there. Auburn fans point to Pat Dye as the person that they compare Tubbs to but in fairness to Tubbs.. Dye only averaged around 8 to 9 wins per season over his career and left the program with probation. I am so thankful that we don't have a dictator pulling the strings at LSU. Alabama has PBJ and Auburn has Bobby Lowder. I truly believe that many of the problems with each of their football programs today are because of the negative influence of these 2 gentlemen. Sure they give 10's of millions of dollars to their respective universities. They only do that to get control of the decision making process. Mal Moore and David Howsel are merely puppets for these two control freaks. We are truly lucky that we had a chancelor that our money backers believed in and he was able to go out and hire in his mind the best coach available. This will never be the case at UA or AU until those two bozos quit thinking they are George Steinbrenner and let the people hired in those positions be able to do their jobs.
