it's ok for you to provide a response other than a link... so it's ok for biden to advise media that he was taking a snow day during the 'crisis' in texas but not for cruz to go to cancun.... right?

As millions of Texans struggled to stay warm amid massive cold-weather power outages, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) also directed his ire at the frozen wind turbines.

“Our wind and our solar got shut down, and they were collectively more than 10 percent of our power grid, and that thrust Texas into a situation where it was lacking power on a statewide basis. ... It just shows that fossil fuel is necessary.”

The governor’s arguments were contradicted by his own energy department, which outlined how most of Texas’s energy losses came from failures to winterize the power-generating systems, including fossil fuel pipelines, The Washington Post’s Will Englund reported. But Abbott’s debunked claims were echoed by other conservatives this week who have repeatedly blamed clean energy sources for the outages crippling the southern U.S.

If you're going to make up shite, at least make it hard for me to debunk it.

Its not that I am "OK" with it. Its that I have no expectations of government. Overall, Texas works better than most states so I am happy about that.

I dont care what Abbott says or didn't say. I responded to the data you provided. That data suggest renewables failed at the same rate relative to their total output. Thus, the blame is on Texas and no one technology.

    You have created a straw-man.

The Biden administration is sending generators, blankets and other supplies to Texas as the state grapples with widespread power outages amid an extended blast of winter weather.

he is hugely in favor of fossil fuels, which are hugely more reliable than the green new deal which favors eliminating all fossil fuel use by 2030.

natural gas is incredibly cheap and reliable. the whole country stays warm on natural gas.
