bad subject and ive tried to block out his time at LSU but i was talking to a friend in class today and we were talkin bout the worst coordinators in LSU history(that we could remeber) and i said tepper for DC because he made up a defense with horrible LB assignments but then i couldnt remember what they were called and their responsebilities were. can anyone help with this? i remember there was a hack LB and drop LB but forgot the other two. much thanks to anyone who remembers
I think the other two were.....Confused LB and Lost LB. :hihi: Unsure, but trying to remember. I thought one was Hawk LB and the other was Rush LB.
i know for sure there was a DROP and i think he was like a strong safety or something to that effect and i think that was bubba alexander. im pretty sure there was a RUSH and im guessin he was just the pass rusher all the time which i think was jeremy lawrence then maybe it was HAWK or HACK which i forget what it was but i think an inside linebacker which was trev faulk then i forget what the last one was but it must have been an inside linebacker as well
one was definitely a "drop" linebacker. I do not remember anything about the so-called scheme - just that it got our asses drubbed way too much.
The more I think about it, I'm almost positive the other two weirdly named ones were hawk and wing. A drop linebacker isn't all that uncommon, especially in a 3-4. I think Tepper was some sort of LB guru who had written a book or books on the subject. Not sure it's worth doing THAT much research, but if you're curious, you could read those definitive sources on how to give up points.
Lou, at least as of last June, believes he has what it takes to make it in the big time: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/sports/s_197555.html Here is Lou's resume: http://www.edinboro.edu/cwis/athletics/sports_list/footballinfo/2004_head_football_coach.htm Whoever wrote the resume gives Lou credit for producing Anthony "Booger" McFarland, interesting to say the least. Query, is Gerry D one of the top head coaches in the country ? "Go easy on me boys, I've had a rough time"
