UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved UT PANSIES What a bunch of cry babies. If Everyone else would have said it was ok to play, they would have forfieted the game. This right here proves Fulmer will do anything no to have to play in TS on a Saturday night.
Would have saved us some time from beating them but I wouldn't want it that way. We would have heard it all year from TN if this would have happened. Glad it all worked out though. Right now I need a game. GEAUX TIGERS :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved I guess they would have felt better with an * next to their loss column.
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved Are they that scared of playing us that they would just take an L
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved Yeah cause if you play and lose there is no option for debate, were as if it is a forfeit well then they can bitch about LSU not making accomadtions for them and turn us into the bad guys that everyone assumes we are.
This should have never been made public. ut comes of sanctimonious, we care more about about players than you do. LSU players faced the same elements, and your admin wouldn't risk their lives. If ut had forfeited the game, the press would have come down hard against LSU. It sounds like extortion to me. I bet it was nothing but a bluff, and LSU folded. You don't show your hand when you win this way. Bad form Mr. Hamilton.
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved I've got a great idea. Why don't the Vols just roll over and play dead when they "show up" on Monday night. It will have the same effect as their forfeit offer. Buck-buck-buck-buck-awk!!!!!!!! PS They should rename their dumb@ss dog "Ol' Chicken", put a big red comb on his head, and teach him to scratch for his food. Oh, some good head bobbin' would fit, too... LIKE THE NCAA OR THE SEC ALONG WITH LSU WOULD HAVE PLAYED THE GAME IF IT HAD BEEN UNSAFE.... :dis:
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved Guys, lets be realistic. The absolute right thing to do was to delay this game. If the storm is coming ashore early Saturday morning, don't you think there is a VERY GOOD chance that tornados and other very severe weather conditions can be in the Baton Rouge area Saturday night. Sure, that may not happen, but it might. Secondly, the high winds are sure to cause major power disruptions in Baton Rouge again. That can cause a laundry list of problems as far as the game and safety factors are concerned. I want to see LSU play as much as anyone, but moving the game day was absolutely the right decision. I just hope it will actually be able to be played even on Monday. I have my doubts. Now, put yourself in orange shoes. If there was potential for a very hazardous situation in Knoxville on and leading up to game day, I sure as heck would not want LSU players and fans in the middle of it. And yes, I would even say forfeit the game if it came down to it. TN has seemingly complained too much, but I agree with them in this instance. :geauxtige
Re: UT Threatened to Forfiet if Game Not Moved I never had any animosity toward Tenn. before. But now i will pull against them in any game they play. I dont care if it would help the SEC if they win i will never pull for them again. I dont mind their concern for their people but to threaten cancellation is to try to embarass the LSU people and it is a self centered Orange looking glass. If the game cant be played saturday so be it. But to act the way they have and the excuses they give. Do they think that LSU would put them and their people in jeoperdy. Its a sad situation. I now realize why Tenn is hated so much in the SEC.
