UT had a WR that got arrested for for fighting....pleads guilty today...then right after Fulmer says he is back on the team and won't miss a single game.

Maybe its me....but does anyone else see a problem with this?

if it was LSU i would but its UT. their bed they can lie in it.

if my ass was on the line i may reinstate him as well. Dunno. with the demands of coaches nowadays its easy to judge them without understanding the need to win now.

then again, phat phil has had numerous problems with players and it will eventually catch up with him. some think it already has.

Guess Fulmer thought: "Man! This guy has some fight in him! We could use that sort of energy!"

I'm not so much as baffled by Fulmer allowing him back as much as I am that he made the decision so quickly. For P.R. reasons--and the image of the University--he should have at least waited a few weeks--even if he knew right off the bat that he would reinstate him.

Phat Phil has seemingly lost most of his team discipline some years ago. I predicted his downfall a couple of seasons ago, and the total meltdown hasn't occured yet, though I thought the '03 Peach Bowl was a ridiculous embarrassment for Tennessee. The players looked absolutely like they couldn't have cared less.

They are getting a lot of preseason love this year--mainly because they gave Auburn a half-way decent game in the SECC (i.e. not getting their butts handed to them like they did in their regular season match-up with the faux Tigers) and because they whipped a mediocre Texas A & M team in the Cotton Bowl--with Casey Clausen, of all people!

But I think the real Vol team may be the one that struggled mightily against Kentucky and who lost to Notre Dame.

Fulmer will end up running the program into the ground.

Ahh.. but if you say that Tenn is good then you have to say that Notre Dame is good.. thats where the conspiracy comes in.. anything to make ND look better.
