I understand the decision to move the Az St. game. What I don't understand is the timing. LSU should give everyone involved enough time to prepare. In my opinion, our admin should have made a decision TODAY regarding the Tn game. (ie whether it will be definitively in BR or Knoxville). At least give a deadline when that decision will be made. I sure hope it's not made the Monday before the game. Frustrated, but still love those Tigers. God Bless everyone impacted by the storm.
Nooooo. The game isn't until September 24. LSU will most likely be able to play a game by then. No need to jump the gun. There is an open date next week.
I disagree. We are 3 weeks away from that game. We have to try to let this thing play out so we can play at home for Tenn.
By deadline I meanby the mid dle of next week (during our bye-week). That way we know what the hell is going on. That gives them 1 1/2 weeks.
That makes more sense. From what Red55 posted earlier and from what I have heard, they are going to move the recovery closer to NO. The west bank and the airport down there. I really think they will be off campus by then.
:dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: come on people....make a decision now??? Ok if thats the case lets make a decision based on today conditions and chose not to play the game 3 weeks from now. Because that makes sooooo much more sense than waiting and trying to use every resource to play this game in BR. :dis: :dis: :dis:
The point is to keep everyone informed of the PLAN. When you don't, it gives the appearance that there is no PLAN. IMO LSU could have easily said what needs to happen in order for the Tenn game to be played in BR on Sep 24. I believe it's a mistake to just think some miracle will happen in the next two weeks to free up all the hotels etc. Poor Planning and communication.
If you think it is about hotels, we will not play a game at home all year. It is about the recovery efforts on campus which will be gone by the Tenn game. We will play Tenn at home w/or w/out hotels.
My wife jokingly said this was an easy way out for Skip since the stadium isn't finished. The stadium should be finished for the Tenn. game and the game should be played in BR. I feel bad for all the LSU fans who bought tickets from others instead of the LSU ticket office. I have written off the money I spent for my season tickets. I usually come back for 4-5 home games a year since I live out of state. I will only be coming back for three now. I am sorry but there is no way Skip will refund the money. If LSU refunds the money, I bet ticket prices will jump in price next year to make up for the loss of revenue from this game. I bet the new stadium club ticket holder are freakin pissed. But those who can afford those tickets can easily spend the extra cash to travel to Tempe. It is not like the BR airport has a lot of options for different airlines. LSUDAN
