Me too. Started in 1967, age 14, pay = $.75 per hour. I was doing 6 days X 12 hours, then some of the older guys asked me to take their Sunday, and I did. I ended up only taking off 1 or 2 days a month. Up at 4:45 AM to open the station at 6:00, cause I lived out in the country 15 miles from the station.
First job was as a telemarketer, selling vacation packages to Kauai, at 16. Then, waitress, Ames Dept store for 2 days, mercury switch factory, waitress, telemarketer, waitress, switchboard operator for a Nissan dealer for 5 years, retail sales, furniture sales, and now greatglam.com clothing descriptions. :hihi:
Ive always wondered how it worked. How many people purchase these things, if you dont mind answering?
