Here is hoping that this telethon will be met with the same outpouring of gifts that we provide for others. I know Lubbock's city wide campaign raised almost 1 million dollars for tsunami relief.

that is offbase dude... Even if they ARE acting, peopel look up to them, and would donate just b/c they said so... ****, get Britney Spears singing, or Shaq talking... any product of Louisiana that is admired, and we would get much needed money
Maybe Jerry Lewis could donate this year's MD take to the Katrina disaster. Lord knows he's got a ton of money to do his (good) work for MD and could skip a year's worth of money. This disaster is unprecedented in scope and that money would do a lot of good.
