Yes, it does. SOS is 2/3 opponents W/L and 1/3 opponents opponents W/L. So teams A and B would effect USC's SOS. What we really need is for Pitt to beat Va. Tech, UF to beat FSU, and USC to stumble against UCLA. Outside of that, or Oklahoma losing the Big 12 title game, our chances are very slim.

USC finishes with 3 bad teams one may upset them however (UCLA). this will hurt the SOS for them.

Unfortunantly the weak teams that USC has left to play still have good records, which will pick up there SOS.

    Darhornet,

Please explain the logic of us pulling for Auburn over Ole Miss. I think it would benefit us if Ole Miss killed Auburn and we did the same to Ole Miss. We need Ole Miss to be rollin' when we play them.

Actually, that one is a wash... Computers don't think about who is 'rolling' when they play each other. Otherwise our win against Auburn would have helped us more. I said Auburn because of the SEC West implications.

    News flash...

Maybe we will now realize that since we have these big ticket hikes for next year...we better start scheduling some tougher non-conference opponents. Scheduling this year is keeping us out...and it will do the same next year possibly...if we have one loss... We need to get some quality teams on our schedule...tiger fans hate the fact that we have to play so many layup games. And we have to pay more for it...that sucks...what do you guys think????

Well actually the computer does consider who's "rolling" when that team is ranks higher in the polls(AP or coaches) because of recent wins. It really does'nt matter if Auburn beats Ole Miss, we have to beat Ole Miss. I think LSU fans should hope that Ole Miss puts up big numbers before we play them. It will only benefit LSU.
