talk to some players yesterday and I was told that the only reason this team isn't in complete meltdown mode is because of jimbo keeping the offense in line and Dunbar keeping the defensive guys in line. The defensive guys i talked too said they can't stand pelini and his system. They told me everyday in practice they get killed by the offense because of the system, but pelini won't change. They also told me that Fisher was not happy about running the ball up the middle over and over again. Also I talked to JV and he wasn't too happy the way miles was trying to use him as a bruiser by running him straight up the middle and he told me neither Jo or Carey were happy with the way that les is making jimbo use the I-formation so much.

Hope this gives ya'll a little insight into what some of the players are feeling.

forgot to mention spoke to skyler yesterday too and he told me that he hates the role that he has been forced into and to not expect him to catch too many balls this year as coach miles has said he wants him fresh for punt returns. He is really pissed about being forced into this role during his senior year.

This is what happens when you have a laid back coach: College kids who actually think their input should matter.

I can agree with their sentiments, but they have no business questioning it. If the players to sell out, there is no chance of it working at all. Ever. Period. I don't expect that anyone will be happy simply because they are all talented, they all want the ball, they are all motivated to win and hate losing and there is only one football to play with.

I don't blame Miles, I would rather have Skyler fresh for returns, we have plenty of wideouts to go around. I can certainly see Skyler's discontent though.

Do they take any responsibility for not executing? Or are they just not executing to prove they don't like it? If they were playing great, and still getting killed, that would be one thing, but....

Seriously, LSU should just let Jimbo coach out the year if we continue to suck vs. msu and fla. If it keeps on after that we'll deal with it at the end of the season. At this point I wish they would have promoted Jimbo (can't believe I just said that) before they hired Miles since all the quality coaches were already gobbled up....

once the head coach loses the players it's over. night night.....

I've heard the players say the same stuff about Dunbar, all positives. Also heard several disturbing things from a couple of the defensive players about their faith and trust in Les and Bo.......

what i have seen is a complete lack of disipline. I know they are discouraged about the defence, but, they sure as hell aren't giving their all to try get adapt to the system. (I saw pelini in that 3rd a 2 situation screaming at the players to play tight but they stayed in the ****ty 7 yard cushion bull****)Miles needs to stop being their buddy are start being a coach. They are frustrated but it takes time to get the system. The line is working hard as ever though.

*This is only what I saw. I didn't see the offence what so ever.

Crawfish has a point... Once the coaching staff loses the faith of the players, a team is never going to perform to their potential. However, I don't think all faith is lost. If the coaches can get this team to start performing, it would seem that players would buy into it a lot more. The question still remains if Miles can get this team to perform though.

I've heard similar rumblings, and this is not good news at all...

Winning will help a lot of this. You didn't hear the grumblings before the season started, only after they started failing on the field. Before the season started, you only heard all praise, privately and publicly. They are still all positive about the staff publicly, which means that maybe not all of them are fed up and if they are, they at least have the team's best interest at heart because they aren't speaking out about it.

ding ding we have a winner. right or wrong, once the coaches lose control of the players not believing in them its over. i surely hope this isnt the case and hope it can be fixed.

i never even thought of the jimbo idea yet if this season goes awry into a tailspin it doesn't sound like a crazy idea.

won't ever happen though...too much money with the buyout and all for skip and the university to eat.

plus we'll have plenty of wins in spite of it.
