and LSU is 2nd in the SEC in pass defense. Last 4 opponents average 160 yards per game in the air. I say a good defensive performance against Auburn and that ASU game starts to look like an anomaly.
Or an abberation. Jimmy Ott crunched the numbers yesterday, and we would be FIRST IN THE NATION in total defense if we threw out the ASU game. So, we're right back where we've been for the past few years. Feels good to be home!
No need to take the ASU game out and it shouldn't be. Just wait unti lafter we play our 2 OOC cupcakes and we should just fly right up those rankings.
The point was to show there is an improvement in the defense from a statistical standpoint the last four games. I said the ASU game is starting to look like a departure from the norm. Analogies above do not apply.
You've obviously never taken a statistics class. Ever heard of an 'outlier?' Statisticians commonly remove them from the data set to achieve a more precise account of the results. Of course, this doesn't happen in sports. But it's far more plausible than the asinine scenarios you spewed out. What are you going to bitch about if we win out? Will you ever say anything positive about the team? I bet you're no fun to watch games with.
If you look at total penalty yards per game, LSU is not much less disciplined than USC and Texas. Out of 117 teams: Code: #100 USC 6 51 449 8.50 74.83 6 0 0 #109 Texas 6 55 487 9.17 81.17 6 0 0 #114 LSU 5 53 438 10.60 87.60 4 1 0 See, no problems at all.
If Aubarn fans had teeth, then they would be able to bite & chew corndogs without getting upset with LSU fans for being able to.
