What a fantastic catch for Sue and the Tigers!! She is really going to help shore up the interior game. With her and Crystal, the Tigers can put in a pair of 6'5" twin towers.

Lots of verbals have been going around. Here's who LSU is still looking at (courtesy of Sybil Marshall's excellent site):

    Morenike Atunrase, 5'10 SF
    Quianna Chaney, 5'10 G
    Ashley Thomas, 6'0 SF
    Erica White, 5'6 PG

Replacing Tameka Johnson and Doneeka Hodges will be a tough priority. Grabbing White and Chaney would immediately accomplish that. Seimone is at the 3-4 spot but more fo a wing type player who can slash and pull up. Sue doesn't really have a solid PF type although that is the role that Wendolyn Jones will play. It would have been nice to grab Erlana larkins for that spot.

You are correct, ND ... great acquisition for LSU; a much-needed big presence in the paint. Thanks for posting The Advocate link.

BTW, do you have any information on the leanings of either of these ladies? Janie Mitchell (6-0, BS#57) out of Calloway H.S. in Jackson, MS, or Sierra Nixon (6-0, BS#71), from Ellender H.S. in Houma. Does LSU have any PF recruits on their radar?

I haven't heard anything, jmt about these candidates. Sybil does a good job of covering a lot of candidates but some slip through her radar. But I'm sure they are on Sue's radar if ranked that high by one of the reporting agencies.

I hope she dosen't commit too many Fowles and is a good Fowles shot shooter.

Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

Dandy Don is reporting that LSU has a good chance of signing a couple more top players. I would say Erica White is definitely one of them and most likely Quianna Chaney is the other. E. White may be the second best point guard in the class behind Sade Wiley-Gatewood and is good friends with Fowles.

As of right now, the top recruiting classes according to Blue Star Report are:

    1. Tennessee
    2. Georgia
    3. Duke
    4. Rutgers
    5. Maryland
    6. Kentucky
    7. Purdue
    8. Minnesota
    9. Notre Dame
    10. UCLA
    11. Texas Tech
    12. DePaul
But if you factor Fowles in, I'd say LSU is in there and if they land White, LSU could be top 5. Tennessee has the top class even if they sign no one else, and I think Duke will end up top 2 because they will probably land Parker and either Candace Wiggins or Wanisha Smith. UCONN will most likely land a top 10 class also.
