Have things really set in with anyone yet? I mean, it still feels kind of surreal to me. LSU is playing in the NC game!!!!! I'm so used to saying "Well, at least we're in a bowl". Now, I don't know what to say.
Nah, it hasn't hit me yet. I think it'll hit me Tuesday or so when I go to Baton Rouge and see Tiger Stadium when I'm crossing the river.
I am expecting to wake up any second...... I remember many people (including me) at the beginning of this season saying that LSU will be competing for a NC by 2004-2005....Well looks like we were all wrong!!!
i don't think it is gonna hit me til I am shavin LSU type things into my head, painting various areas of my body purple and gold and donning my costume on January 4th......
Well, just when you begin to get settled a week or two from now, that trip to New Orleans will take it to another level. Those of us here who are also Saints fans have talked about what Saints in the Super Bowl scenario would be like, but this---LSU in the Sugar for the National Championship---would have to be 100 times as incredible. I literally want to see N.O. awash in purple and gold come game week---streamers, signs, etc.
I was in shock yesterday and it's cloud 9 today. I don't know how many hours I wasted with friends talking about this scenario. Playing in N.O. for the championship. It's like science fiction or something. Although we may get this chance again soon with the way Saban's running things, the fact that we're in N.O. the first time since 1958 makes it mind boggling.
