I have a sooner friend of mine who is kind of giving me hard time by being cute. Thinking I am not getting his little joke.

He said "Wow the defending national champion is a couple of 4th qtr plays from not being bowl eligible" At the time I just wrote it off as him being a jack ass.

Then I got to thinking. Who the hell has OU played this year. Well no one except Texas, thats correct at the time of playing them they have played only 1 ranked team, thats UT, and beat them 12-0.... (Actually to date they still have only played one ranked team)

LSU (UF aside, I think the Miss St. Game was a fluke)
Has played 2 top 10 teams (Both ranked higher then UT) and frankly both UGA and Auburn would beat UT's ass... Since they cannot play against teams with good defenses... And 1 ranked team at the time (UF) ALL ON THE ROAD.

Is OU better then LSU this year, of course... Is OU a very good football team, of course. But cheeze I am pretty sure we would be 7-0 as well if we had that patsy schedule...

    Anyway, just wanted to vent..

They shouldn't brag to much with their performance against K-state. They are a freshman running back away from being a mediocre football team.

I dunno If they just let Jason White loose i think they would be scoring at least over 50 pointsa game instead of strugging against kansas and kansas state.

    har har har har

When I have more time, I'll explain a balanced offense to you, sherlock.

What game did you watch? White threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TDs. Peterson has his 7th 100 yard rushing game. He tied Faulk and Emmit Smith as being only the 3rd true freshman to rush for 1000 yards in just 7 games. Oh btw, we beat Kansas 41-10. I think the spread was 27 or 28.

OU struggled mightily against KU for the entire first half. Don't tell me that Sooner fans were pleased one little bit with that...

We've started slow all season long. We've finished strong all season long. I guess that's why so much emphasis is put on how you finish a game.

Hey OU is a great team, but for an OU fan to bust my chops because we have two losses on the road against two teams ranked Higher then the only ranked team OU has played is a bit odd..

Hey, I didn't mention or say anything about LSU. I was just defending my team. We're doing fine so far this year. I hope we finish the year strong. We have 2 tough road games coming up against OSU and aTm.

OU is the greatest college team ever assembled. Now, go finish it up like last year.

I'm with you, Peabody. Anyone who suggests that OU is overrated is speaking emotionally, not sensibly.

I've seen some posts on some UF fan sites this morning, and they're all a titter over Bob going back to Gainsville--he has a summer home still there, etc.

I tried to inject a little, you know, *reality* as to why he won't leave Norman for Gainsville, but it didn't take.

They're gonna rehire Spurrier and everybody knows it. The Zook firing was announced so early in the season to keep Steve from making a deal with Texas without considering UF first.
