I think we wasted an opportunity there. I sure would like to knock this pitcher out before he finds his rhythm. At least they already made a trip to the mound so they can't settle him down again without pulling him.

Rendon was kind of disagreeing with the ump after the 2nd strike. Ump rang him up on the next pitch.

 

Rendon just went down with a twisted (or broken) ankle. This guy is a Tony Gwynn-type hitter. They can't afford to lose him.

I don't think he can stay in.

Wow!...he's out. That's sad for Rice. That kid (freshman) is good.

 

He looked point tender on his distal fibula. That could be a fracture.

4 eyes is throwing a lot of pitches. Still finding the strike zone when it counts though.
