LSU goes to New Orleans on December 28th. Thats about a week before the Sugar Bowl so I hope they get a lot of practice time on the new Superdome turf. Of special concern is that the designated place kicker of the game whether it is Gaudet or Jackson gets plenty of practice on the new turf. After it was installed the usually reliable Saints kicker John Carney went into a slump and has been quoted as saying that the new turf is more difficult to kick from than the old turf. On TV the new turf looks a lot like natural grass but in reality it is made from the rubber of old ground up tires. As shaky as the Tiger's place kicking has been this year they need all the practice they can get.

I agree, but Okies kicker has to kick off of it too.
