Report it right - 2nd worst for TITLE game. And, there's only been SIX title games so far. They only reported the worst and the best, so GIVEN THAT IT'S ESPN, I'd have to think that the ratings weren't too far off the average.
ABC shot itself in the foot. They made the Rose Bowl out to be the NC game because they felt that in that TV market it was the best decision. They and the rest of the media are the cause of the lower ratings of the Sugar Bowl. Who cares about TV ratings and all that crap. Bottomline is we are National Champs and we'll do it again next year....I hope!
I posted on this a while back, but it still drew slightly more viewers than the Rose Bowl. So whatever ESPN and USC want to say about it, it reflects poorly on the Rose Bowl.
Why would we be interested in hearing about this? It's old news. Not entirely accuarate as pointed out. Go post this kinda stuff on rivals sites
with the way espn and abc were talking the game down all week , im suprized it wasnt the lowest rating
Plus there were NFL playoff games that day. Whoever made the decision to put it that day needs to be fired. Funny thing is that the guy who made the decision probably makes big money to make those kind of choices. An intern could've made a smarter decision.
