Let me say first of all that I'm overwhelmed trying to keep up with my email and keeping making discs. I just finished the menu last nite for the Sugar bowl and made the disc as I went to bed last. nite. I will be glad to help you guys out on this but you have other options also. There's someone here who makes them in High Definition and 1 or 2 other people who can make them. I'm hoping they will post on my thread. There's another person who supposedly has blended in the radio broadcast to the tv version and will sale for $8 Here is what I offer though: I charge $8 a disc. I can get the whole game on 1 disk but I record at a slower speed for live football dvd's, (kinda like a vcr) The picture does look good because I have a satellitle. I fast forward through the commercials for now until I can find and finish learning a couple of programs. I am not a professional and I make them for myself to add to my library, but I thought I would offer for other Tiger Fans as well. I DO HOPE some of the other people post on my thread and offer what they have for you guys as far as DVD. If interested email me at [email protected] Don't forget LSU vs ARk on ESPN tonight
LSU DVD I also create DVD's of every LSU game I can get my hands on... I don't use HD, but record directly from Direct TV with a stand alone DVD recorder. I take that DVD and transfer all video files to my computer to edit all commercials out and create a full motion menu with chapter jump points to the start of each quarter. I also include everything I can record about LSU that has any value at all. (Gameday... Inside LSU football etc...) I think I may have to use 2 DVD's to fit everything I'm going to add to the Sugar Bowl DVD... the quality of the video is not the best, but I'm satisfied with it for my needs (I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not HD). e-mail: [email protected] Here is a picture of my cover from the first Georgia game this year...
I'll be happy to post in your thread. There are a couple of options here. Sourdoughman has offered to make a DVD for people. It's sourced from DirecTV which is better than most cable feeds and I have no reason to think it won't be just fine for most. The previous thread came up because someone asked if there was an HDTV copy out there. http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11809 There are examples of the quality of the high definition copy on page 2 of that thread and I'll post another one below. Page 3 has some clarification on what exactly is the difference in the HDTV and normal DVD versions. Sourdoughman's copy will have a couple advantages for some people. #1 - It is fullscreen 4:3. People with normal TV's will have the screen filled. No letterboxing. #2 - It's ready now. There's no telling when I can finish mine. I've half-commited to adding in the radio call as a second audio track, and that will take some work. #3 - It can be on 1 disc. If reasons 1, 2, or 3 float your boat, then great. BUT, some people have larger TV displays and/or will want multiple audio tracks. That's more the type who would be interested in the copy I'm planning on putting together. Mine will be at least 2 discs.
