News sources (link: www.usatoday.com/sports/c...ment_x.htm) indicate that Sue Gunter will announce her retirement at a noon press conference on Tuesday, April 26; Pokey Chatman will be named as her successor. I had hoped Sue could recover her health and complete the 2 years remaining on her contract. However, after the Lady Tigers' run to the Final Four under Pokey's apparently competent hand, the future holds promise that they will continue their winning ways. I also hope that the coaching staff remains intact for a smooth transition. Sue: Thank you for your heart, leadership, class, integrity, and love of the game. You leave LSU a legend we can forever be proud of! We will always love and miss you. And all the best to Pokey and staff ... looking forward to you continuing the winning tradition!

Go Pokey. She will do just fine. And it looks obvious to me that she is well liked by all the players as well.
