Van Pelt was in it toward the beginning and he was red-eyed, a little choked up, but never did he talk about Scott's death as "today". Nothing even close. It was probably a comment he made in studio either leading into or out of the airing of the video. Again, morbid? No. His speech at the ESPY's back in July was clearly a farewell. He talked about dying amd wished everyone a happy life. He knew. What is so wrong about putting together 15 minutes of a tribute in advance so that his colleagues could pay respects and so the public would understand a little more about him. Scott wouldn't have cared and I bet he saw it.
