Okay, I'm headed down from Shreveport in about 3 hours. I'm looking for 2 student tickets but only have 1 so far. So, if worse comes to worst and I can't find another ticket, where would be the best place to catch the game on TV? Mind you I will be searching for tickets until 2:00pm so a place that I will actually be able to get into and find a seat.

    Would Pastimes be too crowded??

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks

Park yourself at the bar at Chimes.

You may not get any student tickets, but you should be able to pick up some regular tickets if you try. There are always scalpers and other people who have extra tickets for some reason.

Otherwise go to the Chimes. Its right off campus. Pastimes is far away.

When all of the students go in their gate, start asking around if anyone has an extra one. It used to work all the time for me in the late 90s. The Chimes is a good plan B.

It will be really tough to find student tickets tomorrow IMO. By the time they are going to the game, any extra tickets will have long been sold. It was hard to find student tickets last week for Western Illinois for petes sake. I would think that you should go to the Gameday taping and ask around there, or better yet make a sign.

You've got one ticket? Let the other fool worry about where to watch the game.

Chimes would be a good choice or any of the bars in Tigerland. They all have specials on Gameday.

14 screens at Ivars. The waitresses are babes. The burgers are good.

Tickets can be had outside the stadium if you go early and are persistant. I have a friend who stands outside the gates to the good, midfield seats and just asks people if they have extra tickets. Apparently, sometimes the fat cats have spare tickets but can't be bothered with trying to sell them, but if you ask they will pull them out.

He almost always gets a seat -- a good seat, too. Occasionally they will even give him one free!
