What do you expect from Bush tonight??? I hope that it is heavy on economy, education and infrastructure...But my brain tells me that we're gonna hear a lot about Iraq (same rethoric for the past 5 years), economy but mostly on how there should be tax cuts for the big corporations but no solution for the housing crisis, and of course his accomplishments as president since it would be his last state of the union address.
Not sure. But the father of a good friend of mine who was killed in Iraq last year will be sitting in the First Lady's box. Several months after my friend was killed, his father decided to give up his medical practice to join the Navy as a doctor and President Bush personally got his age waiver fast-tracked (there was a huge hangup that otherwise would've taken over a year) so he could join up and work with Marines.
He went in as a Lieutenant Commander (Navy rank, obviously). He's currently stationed with 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group at Camp Pendleton as an orthopedic surgeon, so he'll be working primarily with Marines, like his son (and his younger son, who is also a Marine Officer out there).
Yup, thats where I herd the story. I am just down the road from Pendleton and saw it on the news. You don't hear stories like that much any more. I was Army so I never get Navy rank correct.
Yep. Hackneyed platitudes, fear-mongering, disingenuous tripe, and an all-out assault on the English language.
Perhaps in 8 years from now you'll have come to the realization that it's not the sitting president that determines your quality of life.
bait set trap boy was i waiting on you to respond:hihi: also my comment had nothing to do with my quality of life. Trust me that is just fine if i say so myself.
