On the ticker earlier a fact showed u for LSU that I couldn't believe, then upon thinking about it, realized it to be true. LSU is the only team to not allow 20 points in a game this season. I thought that was cool and wondered why their defense doesn't get more respect than USC's or OSU's. Announcer's and sports columnists continue to rave about the other two and mention LSU in a fleeting moment. Why?
Because they just dont like us for some reason, I dont get it either, I mean what else do we have to prove to get some respect? Yeah, we lost to Florida but Florida is a really good football team who beat Georgia also. And Georgia is still in the top 10, and they just keep braggin about them and its like HELLO we beat them, and they are like Michigan and Texas are back! and they could slip into that NC game and Its like what about LSU?!
LSU just isn't the media's generically lovable team. This is where Skip needs to use his PR skills to smooth over the AP media.
Saban needs to stop being a gentelman in these last couple of games and when we are leading a team big to just keep going, Cause its helping Oklahoma look really good when they kill teams. SO I know we could do it and it would make us look a lot better.
Nah, Saban's doing just fine. I like his class... what does it prove to destroy a team 77-0? In my opinion, thats classless.
It is classless but to beat a team big does NOT mean 77-0 i mean like 59-13 is a crushing and if we did that more often we would seem more explosive.
misguided media the national media doesn't understand louisiana. they shun us out of intimidation or jealosy of our wild "good times roll" culture.
We need to get off the media's back! The reason that LSU doesn't get the respect that some others get is because we haven't won the "BIG" one in recent memory, at least since the modern TV era. If we keep winning, the media will take care of itself. Media types like to be right, and that means generally picking the teams who have done it year in and year out. We are on our way.
