It could be that 5 star athletes have so much natural ability, they get by easier and don't have to dedicate themselves to self improvement through nutrition and intense training like the 3 star guys have to do. Their work habits may propel them towards continual improvement whereas the 5 star guys level off as far as self improvement is concerned.

Also, the 3 star guys have to take more steroids than the 5 star athletes. LOL.
