Interesting to see Roberts' name make it back in the media....sort of...

In reporting that Hornets' player Chris Anderson has been dismissed/suspended 2 years by the NBA for substance abuse, a little tidbit of information was released saying that Anderson is the first NBA player suspended for substance abuse since Stanley Roberts in '99...

Congrats Stanley....you made NBA news again... :dis: What a shame (Roberts), he really made some bad choices and has paid for it dearly...

You're kidding right? Roberts was great at LSU? I don't remember that. Of course, you think Flynn has sewed up the starting spot based upon one game utilizing half the playbook.

The not so funny thing about Stanley is that when he and Shaq came to LSU.
Stanley was more polished and a better player at that point.
The really sad thing is he could've been just as dominate as Shaq, He could've
been a top 50 NBA great easily, would've given LSU 3 top 50 players.

You mean 4. Pettit, Maravich and Shaq are already on the list.

    Hell, he's improved.

His rehab hasn't improved his memory OR IQ, but he's become
    a kinder, gentler fellow...:hihi:

Remember, before with him we used a bunch of these...

Roberts was a fine player at LSU. He was much better offensively than Shaq who was the defensive stopper. If he hadn't flunked out and had actually played his Junior season at LSU, he and Shaq might have both been All-Americans.

Well, that's the point isn't it? He didn't have enough of a career at LSU to be considered "great".
