What decent DC doesn't understand his offense? His QB's are supposed to throw to a spot. If that spot is covered?
Darth Visor had an amazing decade in the 90's at Florida. But he hasn't done squat in this century and he ain't at Florida any more.
Saban, LSU DEF got smoked by Spurrier's offense everytime he played us. I think Saban is a good def coord, but he has always been smoked by a Spurrier's offense.:thumb:
I hope I don't get struck by lightning for coming to Darth's defense, but he's posted a 15 - 10 record at SC including a bowl victory. That's an improvement over the 16 - 19 record for the three prior seasons.
Spurrier is a great coach but to accomplish more he needs to somewhat eliminate the bundle of off-the-field problems. Gotton way out of hand. SC had some problems before he got there with that but it never died down and might have even escalated a tad.
Political correctness kept them from putting the black guy last on the list. If I had to choose (God forbid), I'd take Coach O over Coach Doom any day.
