per link: http://www.wltx.com/news/story.aspx?storyid=44661 the Bama and S. Carolina boards are already littered with posts from Alabama fans stating "we didn't really want him anyway"
How much of this rejection can they take? Who in their right mind wouldn't drop what they're doing and go take that prestigious job........thank God it's not us going through that again, my stomach was sick for several weeks, worrying about who, recruits, etc.
that would be my worry. in their attempt to find "stability", recruits are in limbo. recruits are the lifeblood of any program and the turmoil which has gone on there for the last decade or so has only gotten worse by canning shula. this cant be good when trying to land key recruits. i would agree with the firing IF they had someone already in place like a spurrier or saban. as caddi noted long ago, this is the usual ploy to make the boosters think they are more important than reality shows. Rich Rodriguez is just waiting til they beat rutgers this week and the bowl announcements are made I would imagine. most sane people thought this all along.
Yes, to take it a step further along those lines, a prospective QB wants to know if the coach they'll play for is more pass-oriented or run-oriented- depending on the prospect's style, it could plays big into such decisions.
Most normal Bama fans that dont believe all dilusional comments made up on messgae baords have been thinking Rich Rod all along. My guess is he will be a Bama boy on Monday.
Frank Solich - He will be the next Bama coach. Mark it. Date : 11/30/06 6:41 in the PM by TexasTigers
thats completely false. most have had to resign to that fact, find some humility then reenter the atmosphere ablaze, once saban, spurrier and god himself had to make a public statement denouncing their interest. whats that sound i hear? i do believe its the slow, arduous process of reality setting in.
