I wonder why everyone is leaving? Honestly is it normal for a cabinet to pull out on the second term? Are these people worn out? What is the deal?

Ashcroft and Don Evans are going bye bye soon.

Tom Ridge (1 year on the job), Ann Venemen, Rod Paige, Colin Powl good-bye.

Don't we need these people to help run things? Would you have voted for Bush if someone told you that his whole cabinet would quit as soon as Bush got re-elected?

None of the resignations have been surprises, and it was mentioned before the election. It looks as if Bush is going much more conservative this time around.

Lets count...Bush has had 6 cabinet members turn over.

    Clinton had 7.

It's unbelievably stressful. I am sure the past four years are up there for the most stressful for any cabinet in history...Plus, the opportunity for anyone holding those positions is limitless and so is the $$$

When Bush gets out of office do you think people will pay millions to hear him talk like they do for Clinton?

I wasn't looking for soup I really didn't know why everyone was leaving Bush. Since you are all republicans I thought you might know something other then some old Seinfeld $h!t from 1998. I guess you don't follow politics after the election is over.

Yes, but I am not sure if Bush is going to do that. I imagine he will speak at Graduations and a few other engagements, but I don't see him traveling around as a speaker...

But, yes I do see people paying him top dollar to speak.

I believe Clinton gets $100,000 per interview?

    No. Are you kidding?

While W might show good leadership skills, his speaking skills are not up to par with Bill Clinton. Clinton had his problems while in the White House but the guy has always been one hell of a speaker.

That doesn't matter. By being President you are guarenteed big bucks for speaking. Bush isn't the best speaker, but he is the President which means he could give a give 30-1 hour speech and get some big bucks for who he is(or was)...

Just becuase he isn't as good a spreaker as clinton doesn't diminish who he is and what people would pay to hear him speak after he leaves the white house...
