because if it is planned and some kid happens to say a prayer, some other kid who didn't even hear a word of the prayer, was not asked to pray, was not forced to pray, was not asked if he prayed, and had zero thoughts based upon any religion that has ever been in existence on this planet is gonna bitch that his civil rights were violated.

how convenient of you to use this particular subject.

    http://www.adl.org/religion_ps_2004/evolution.asp
    translation:

It is 100% legal, constitutional, hunky dory, etc. to piss off religious individuals. There is absolutely nothing wrong with offending these people.

However, under no circumstances should you EVER offend an atheist.

    In plain English:
As of 2008, 15% of Americans claim to be of "no religion"

Meaning it is perfectly legal to offend 85% of Americans.
Completely unconstitutional to offend 15% of Americans.

I have my doubts that the founding father intended this to be the result of that ammendment.

I know we covered this months ago but what was the answer regarding why this document is printed on a form that was revised in 2001?

If it's the original, why did he wait so long to get a birth certificate and how was it filed in 1961?

The one thing it does prove (if it's valid) is that his mother was Caucasian and his father was African. Shouldn't that make him half-white? You are what you are and can't change that so why does he consider himself only black? Is that not racist or biased?

It's not about 'some kid,' it's about millions upon millions of kids having stop and sit in complete silence every single morning just so a hand full of other kids can pretend to pray during that time period. Why can't the religious kids pray before they get to school? Why must they have special time allotted in the day to observe their religious practices? Besides, any kid who is religious enough to actually pray during that time period goes to a religious school, anyway.

Again, what is the point of mandating it in school? Religion is a personal choice that you practice on your own time.
    It was not a coincidence.
That is a very dishonest way to phrase that. I think a more accurate statement would be 'It is 100% legal to teach based on facts rather than individual faith.' If scientific facts offend you, well that's your problem. Everyone else shouldn't be denied an education because of it.

Besides, you should read what you quoted a little more closely. All it is saying is that you can't refuse to teach something that has centuries of scientific evidence supporting it because a few people just refuse to believe it. In fact, it's not even ruling out teaching the religious point of view, it just rules out teaching it as fact. Where is the problem here?

Should we also not teach children about the holocaust because some on the lunatic fringe refuse to believe it ever happened, and might get offended if it's presented as fact?
You shouldn't take it so personally. For one, WAY more people than just atheists believe in evolution. In fact, hasn't the Pope himself acknowledged that believing in evolution in no way contradicts ones faith? Irrespective of faith, only willfully ignorant people don't believe in evolution, and who cares if they get offended? In fact, we should probably do our best to offend them as much as possible.
Again, this is a terribly dishonest way to present these statistics. That is not at all what that means.
I have no doubts whatsoever that the founding fathers wanted us to be rational, critical thinkers who utilized our full intellectual capacities.

Shake your head if you want but I don't see an answer. I never said he's not an American but curious why a recent birth certificate is shown as proof.

It shows that it was filed in August of 1961, yet printed on a form that was revised in November of 2001.

We can release secrets about what the prior administration did but we don't have a right to question anything about this administration?

Regarding his choice of color...I (like all Democrats) have my opinion on what constitutes racism, prejudice, or bias. Many in this country think you're automatically a racist if you're white yet it's impossible to be a racist if you're black. (Before you ask for proof...read up on comments made by "Rev." Al Sharpton and "Rev." Wright) I'm just curious why Obama doesn't recognize the woman who brought him into this world and why her heritage doesn't matter.

Considering what the Democrats did to Hillary and Palin, I'm not surprised by the treatment.

C'mon, this is right up there with the left wing kooks who said that the twin towers were knocked down by the Bush administation so they could start a war.

Do you really, really think that someone who's not even an american could be seated as President of the U.S.A.?

Don't you think that the GOP, McCain, the Clintons, Limbaugh, Hannity, Fox News would have busted him on this.

    Please.

lol this is very funny, society has always said if you have 1 drop of African blood you are considered black, now hes racist because he considers himself an African American...
lol some of the shyt that people say.

If you we didnt know his mother was white, we would look at him and say thats a black guy.
My mother has an aunt and uncle that are as white as white can be. She could pass for white, but you would look at her and say shes black.
