1. I find being a racist is morally objectionable. considering that 40+% of Louisianians voted for the Klu Klux Klan for governor and that 10% of the population is gay, what I find objectionable is more pervasive. Perhaps I should champion laws banning racists from adopting or getting married so that at least they don't propogate the gene pool.
  2. Your morals cannot be legislated, JD, you of all people should know that...

You know the old adage...You cannot legislate morality...

Intolerance, ethnic hatred, and racism cannot be eliminated by a House Concurrent Resolution as an Act of the Legislature...

Like it or lump it, you can't vote for a candidate to help, either...What you have to do is get your fingers dirty and go out and one by one, set an example when you're given the rare opportunity to do so...
  3. Really, gee I didn't know that.

Perhaps you should tell it to your fellow right wingers - they spend their lives trying to legislate private behavior
  4. It's entirely you're right to find ANYTHING objectionable. You have EVERY right to be a racist (whether black - see the Rev. Al and Jesse - or white). You have every right to be antisemetic.

The hypocrisy comes in carelessly throwing around the leftist favorite little words - LIKE "CLOSED MINDED". No one should be FORCED (either morally or legislatively) to "accept" the gay lifestyle. It's not your perogative to FORCE anyone how to think. If someone finds it objectionable, they shouldn't be forced to support it (like requiring a boss to pay cover an employees "significant other" under his insurance plan). And, to not recognize his/her right to find homosexuality "objectionable" is just as "close-minded".

We all have the right to THINK. And, it's when you try to invoke the THOUGHT POLICE - WHETHER FROM THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT - that you begin to run into problems.
