    Guys,

First off, I wanted to say how welcoming you all were a few weeks back leading up to our beat-down at your place. All of us enjoyed the discussion and the lucky ones to be there in person definately enjoyed the hospitality.

Several of you asked about USC, the gameday experience, and the fans. Well, let me give you a little look into SC, the fans.

As you may know, we open up conference play with them in Tucson on Saturday night (you might be able to catch it on ABC, though it is regional coverage). In the spirit of striking up a discussion on their fan site, I posted my thoughts on the game and my optimistic prediction. Nothing mean-spirited, just football talk.

Rather than discuss strategy, strengths, weaknesses - you know, football stuff - those arrogant bastards go on and on about how week after week football piss-ants like me come to their site and - heaven forbid - consume their valuable time with talk of the upcoming game. Here's the link to the thread:

I'm not sure who you'd compare these bastards to in the SEC, but they are the worst of the worst.

First, I hope we pull off the upset of the year on Saturday night. Next, I hope the Tigers meet up with them in a BCS bowl and take them down.

Good luck the rest of the season guys!

Your DL will do their thing, and hopefully force Booty with a young backfield into some TOs. I just hope your offense can pull their weight to keep that defense off the field & fresh, and hopefully pull off a big scoring drive or two. That young QB gained some experience in TS against a good defense, so maybe he can parlay that experience into a solid game.

    Greetings catsenjammer...
I post there a lot just to try to keep them grounded with facts. There are a lot that won't discuss "Strengths/weaknesses" because they don't think they have any-honestly, they don't have many. There are also many who do but I agree with you that sometimes it's hard to find them.

Just tonight one post stated, "LSU's defense wasn't that overwhelming", all I posted was, "Some would disagree" and the link to show it was the #1 D in the Nation right now and one guy said it was weak to use stats after 3rd week of season. I asked when we should start because USC (all over their board) is and that even pre-season polls have determined outcomes of BCS selections. Anyway, probably won't change their minds but I think they will have something hard to swallow before the year is up.

Good luck this weekend, will be rooting for you. My two favorite teams are LSU and whoever plays USC for sure. I hope LSU or Auburn meet up with them.

By the way, saw some classy posts on your team's forum with fans saying how they enjoyed the game and fans... much appreciated and the same from our fans.

I used to post on that Rivals board after the '03 split NC, but all I ended up with were Southern stereotypes about trailers and inbreeding. When they found out I didn't live in Louisiana any more, they started in with dumping on Texas. The best they ended up with is that it's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter (but then again, they also said it snows all the time in New Orleans, so...)

I don't post there at all these days. Much like the Auburn Rivals board. I don't waste my energy.
