In 2001 under Nick Saban, the Tigers went 10-3 but fell to 8-5 in 2002. W/the tough road schedule don't be surprised if Miles follows in Sabans footsteps. Loosing 5 games this season is probably imposable and I will not stand for that. With the sick talent we have on offense there in no way we should drop more then 2 games again. 4 L's and we have a major coaching problem. But I am not worried I think if Miles plays the right guys we should be ok. The only way we lose 4-5 games is if Miles plays the wrong guys.
i actually kinda agree i think we definately shouldn't "loose" 4-5 games, but i also understand that with the schedule, we have to play well to not do so but I also wouldnt be calling for a "major coachign change" if we did a lot of things can happen: injuries, hurricanes, etc..
It's no lie, after the success of the final game last year I think it would be devastating to Flynn and Hester if Miles strips them of their starting position. I don't care whom else starts. I think those two guys deserve the nod. Come on what’s a guy have to do to get on the football field. I think not starting Flynn and Hester will come back to haunt coach Miles. Now obviously if these two guys by some strange reason are playing like poo then I would hope he will replace them. Flynn waited patiently as well as Hester for their chance and they stepped up and did a heckofa job. What’s it going to hurt by letting them start this year off? People seem to want Flynn to play mop up duty but I think it should be the other way around. Let Russell come in around the end of the third quarter and give him some work w/the second unit and try to get him back to form. I know Russell is a nice guy and everyone loves his size and arm but the truth is that he should be worked in slowly as the season goes by. As far as Hester, the man runs w/passion and is as healthy as a brand new car driven right off the lot. AB and JV should be treated like Russ give them some time w/the second unit towards the end of the game.

The sophomore jinx in 2002 was Mauck hurting his foot and going out the rest of the season, and LSU not having an upper tier SEC caliber QB to step in and take over the job. There was only so much Nick could do without a spear chucker. Miles won't have that excuse at QB, he's got plenty. I am sure Saban wishes he'd have been able to recruit better QB talent to LSU in 99, 2000, 2001, but he did not have the program totally back on the map, the way it is today. My .02
