    Being from Oklahoma I have a little bit more knowledge of the history of Oklahoma, especially the Oklahoma Land Run. The territory of Oklahoma was to be opened up and people from all over the country flocked to the area for the chance at free land. A date was set and all participants were supposed to rush at the boom of a cannon. Those who rushed early were called Sooners, while those who rushed on time were called Boomers. Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner. The history of Oklahoma in my short version. Geaux Tigers!!!!!! Beat the Sooners!!!!
