Was visiting the Songs of LSU page on LSUSports.net and started reading thru the lyrics. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=27815&SPID=2164&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=177310&SPID=2541 Pretty cool! However, I still can't quite get the cadence down for "Fight for LSU" when I try to sing along...LOL.
There is a song of LSU that is missing from that site. It is an old one. Want to know what it is? Ill give you a hint it was put out on a 45 and it is from the 60's decade. I know because i have the old 45.
To help you out, I made a midi of the fight song with just the trumpet and trombone parts, with where the words fit in in the foreground. I also took out the intro. The first notes heard on the midi are "Like Knights of Old...."
I really wanna learn how to sing the "Hey Fighting Tiger" song, but the "Hang on to the ball as you hit the wall / And smash right through the line" line seems to have about 15 syllables too many... Am I missing something?
Come on!!! If i can teach my five year old to do it so can you!!! Although we do listen to it everyday on our way to work/school to get pumped up. All of the teachers are outside of the school wondering what in the hell is wrong with me. It's kinda funny actually.
