I heard Doug Gottlieb mention the other day on Cowherd's show that LSU won both their BCS titles in New Orleans which he said is essentially a home game for LSU even though it's 90 miles down the road. Did he also happen to mention that TWO of Miami's national titles were won in Miami at the Orange Bowl at THEIR HOME STADIUM? No he didn't Did he mention that since the 70's USC won THREE of their national titles in the Rose Bowl that is in the very same CITY they play in? No he didn't. I wonder why that is. Why do others mention that Miles won his national titles with Sabans players but nobody mentions that Meyer won his with Zook's players. Why didn't he mention that Stoops won his only national title with Blake's players. I wonder why all of these facts are overlooked?
Can't deny that it is a home game. We would have won both of those NC at anybody's home. It's weak to mention considering the whippin they both got. However, it pisses me off when UGA plays in the Georgia Dome for the SEC title, whenever they make it.
that's why gottlieb is a basketball guy, oh yeah, and a mediocre basketball player who committed fraud and was convicted
This is true, but neither of those teams have a true following like ours. So it means a bit more for us to have a home game than I would guess for them. But still a stupid comment by him.
Cause LSU's titles are the more recent. Did you really expect him to start going way back in history and start naming all the teams that won a title in their backyard?
