So here I am, stuck in Florida (Seminole and Gator country where I am) and all I can think of is the LSU-MSU game. So I call the cable company, order ESPN Gameplan for the day so I can watch the game. All is well. About 12:30, I check the cable guide and can't find the game anywhere, so I call up the cable company, wait about 10 minutes, only to find out that ESPN Gameplan is blacked out for this area all season. So they took the charge off my account. I panicked, but then I remembered that you could watch it online. So I get on to ESPN.com, order Gameplan online, and lo and behold, I'm watching the Texas-Mizzou game on my computer - almost as good of a quality as on the TV! So now I am excited, I can watch my Tigers on my computer. I go to the kitchen to make some lunch, come back to find that my internet connection has died...no big deal, I have wireless, so it happens from time to time. But no, nothing was getting this connection back. I call the cable company, AGAIN, wait about 25 minutes, only to find out that for some reason, the internet was knocked out for the entire city of Gulf Breeze. WTF????? At this point, I'm furious, have to call ESPN, wait another 20 minutes to cancel my subscription (and they still tried to convince me to keep it), and I'm screwed. Luckily, I find a sports bar that is playing it, so I got to watch at least the rest of the half and first score of the second half, before I had to go work some awful music festival with a bunch of teenagers with piercings out the wazoo. Breaking up fights in the middle of a mosh pit was not how I planned my college gameday afternoon/evening. But anyways, LSU won, I got $40 in vouchers for this bar, and I'm drunk as hell at this point. I just thought I would share my plight with everyone. I still don't understand how everything could've gone wrong with trying to watch the game... I think I need to go to bed.
