1. I'm attending my first game this season, and had some questions about the schedule of events before Saturday's game. Does the band still practice before the game? I think I saw them in the indoor practice facility one time. And do they still march into the stadium 1.5 hours before game time? If any band members are reading, THANKS! You guys/gals are a big part of the LSU football experience.

Last question: I'm a TAF member, but have never been to the pre-game tailgate party in the PMAC. Let me know if you have been and what the parties are like.

    Thanks, and Geaux Tigers!

    LSU!
  2. The Band plays in the PMAC at the TAF party before they march down the hill. TAF party food is decent but nothing like the surrounding tailgates. I have passes but rarely attend.

BTW, anyone one going to the official naming ceremony for Mike VI today at 3:30?
  3. I'm a collegiate level TAF member so my question is: do you have to get a pass or do you just need to be a member of TAF?
  4. Non-collegiate TAF members get a card in the mail after they sign up. You use that to get yourself and anybody you are with in. I'm not sure about students.
  5. Meh, the TAF website doesn't list the pregame parties for collegiate level, just:

    • Priority Point accumulation for future ticket purchases to LSU athletic events
    • Opportunity to meet with LSU players and coaches
    • Social events
    • Opportunities for away game trips
    • Collegiate Club T-shirt
    • Window decal & membership card
    • Invitation to certain closed practices
So, I guess that's a no for us student TAF members. And by the way, I've been a member since the beginning of the year and still haven't received a shirt, dammit.
  6. Yeah, but these two are pretty damn nice.
  7. This was in my mailbox this morning! Guess I should have waited!

The TAF Tailgate Party for the Middle Tennessee game will begin at 4:00, three hours before kickoff with a performance on the PMAC arena floor by the LSU Cheerleaders and will close at 6:00, one hour prior to kickoff. The LSU Tiger Band will perform at approximately 5:15. To enter the party, TAF members must show their current TAF membership card at the west ramp of the PMAC. There is no charge to enter the party.

Once again, TAF members may purchase food at the concessions provided by LSU Concessions and box meals provided by Corky’s Ribs and BBQ at the stands inside of the PMAC. Corky’s will offer grilled chicken served with rice pilaf and steamed broccoli in the box lunches for only $8.00. They will be providing a different selection for each party! Drinks provided by Mockler Beverage and Coca-Cola Bottling will be free while they last. A big screen television will be located inside the PMAC for those fans interested in watching the “Game of the Day”.

Key takaways: can watch the UF-Tenn game, and free beer and soft drinks (to mix with "whatever") while they last.
