Oh, that's probably SO true! No WAY could we hold a candle to Oregon's crowd.

I mean, once the announcer tells everybody that the lumber companies are about to chop down a tree to build houses with, the stadium probably breaks into a raging pandemonium and can be heard in forests 100 miles away.

Actually I have heard Autzen Stadium is a pretty awsome place ....But to say Death Vally aint nothing.....He obviously has not been to a night game in Baton Rouge.....

Uncontrollable laughter follows:

LSU qb. He does not have anywhere near the upside as Perilloux. Russell may have the physical skills you talk about, but once the game starts he comes completely unglued. No accuracy whatsoever and he would not survive in the pass happy Pac10. LSU will give the SunDevils all they can handle, but it wont be through the air.
Let's not go overboard on this LSU plays for national championships stuff though. Yes, they have a great fan base and a tremendous home field advantage, but they are consistently second fiddle to the real powers in the SEC. They had a great run 2 years ago, but would have been throttled if they would have had to play USC in the NC game instead of everybody's loser in the NC game every year, Oklahoma.
LSU is good with great fans, but is not a powerhouse year in and year out. Saban got them over the hump, but he is gone now.

On the west coast most of us think of Florida, Tenn. and UGA when we think of the SEC. Just as most everyone in the southeast thinks of USC and USC alone when they think of the Pac10. We all know out here that ASU, Oregon, Cal, WSU and UCLA can beat anybody week in and week out, but listening to pundits you would think the Trojans are the only team west of the Rockies.
When I think of LSU and Auburn I think of the great athletes that are in bunches on the sidelines and on the field. The Devils will be more talented at quarterback, wideout and probably linebacker, but LSU will have the talent edge in most other spots. Line play will probably end up being the key.

This may be comparing apples to oranges, but after underestimating Oregon State all offseason last year, I'm out of the "underestimating Arizona St" business this year.
